Grass Roots America Files for Bankruptcy

Grass Roots America filed for bankruptcy on April 23rd, 2015. Meanwhile, their parent company, the Grass Roots Group announced the opening of a new office in Spain.

The Grass Roots Group claims nearly $500 million in annual revenue. They are in turn largely owned by the publicly traded company WPP, which paid $66 million to their CEO last year.

Grass Roots America’s bankruptcy leaves many mystery shoppers wondering whether they will be paid for work they completed.

Other divisions of the Grass Roots Group continue to be members of the Mystery Shopping Provider’s Association (MSPA).  The MSPA holds its members to an ethical standard that requires mystery shoppers be paid for work completed.

Repeated attempts to contact the Grass Roots Group about this issue have not been responded to.

If you are a mystery shopper owed money by any division of the Grass Roots Group, please contact the MSPA immediately. They may be able to hold the Grass Roots Group accountable.
