Personal Experience: I have no personal experience with this company. I did a search using a 900-mile radius and only found two types of shops; a carpet cleaning and the other was for a company that remodels bathrooms. The nearest shop for me is roughly 200 miles away.
What Others Have to Say: There has been considerable discussion on www.mysteryshopforum.com regarding this particular MSC. Some shoppers are wary of this MSC because of the carpet cleaning shops. They recall the problems shoppers had with Franchise Compliance with similar to identical shops. There are many shoppers reporting successful carpet cleaning shops with this MSC—successful being defined as having received payment/reimbursement for the shop.
Overall: I understand why shoppers would be concerned with the carpet cleaning shops–$200 [or more] is a lot to put on the line. I called this company to get some information that wasn’t readily available on their website. My gut feeling is that Compliance Solutions Worldwide is a legitimate MSC. At the same time, I have concerns that inexperienced shoppers might look at the opportunity and decide that getting a reimbursed carpet cleaning might be the way to go.
Additionally, there were accusations that Compliance Solutions Worldwide was affiliated with Franchise Compliance. Yet, when the people making those accusations were asked for evidence of what they were claiming, they could only provide links to statements from Compliance Solutions Worldwide denying any connection with Franchise Compliance.
My rule of thumb is the more money I need to put out up front [or can potentially earn] on a shop, the greater the probability there is to screw it up, which means that I have to have more experience to reduce the probability of a screw-up. I’ve been shopping for about 1.5 years at this point. Only now am I beginning to feel that I have the experience necessary to successfully complete a carpet shop.
I would give Compliance Solutions Worldwide an A rating.
